The six members of Maiden Dixie spent the entire month of January in two Minneapolis area studios recording their sophomore release. Navigator Records will releaseUnsafe And Sound, the band’s new EP, commercially to all digital music outlets beginning on April 14.
Work on the follow up to Little Black Dressbegan while Maiden Dixie was in the midst of their NOT GONNA SETTLE 2014 TOUR. As the tour wound down, the band members began the process of listening to songs written by the band and those submitted to the band by some of Nashville’s top songwriters. Preproduction with producer Kevin Bowe began at the end of 2014 and the band entered the studio for the first recording session on January 2nd.
Maiden Dixie is putting the finishing touches on the project and will offer their fans a special limited edition version of Unsafe And Sound featuring special artwork and containing one track that will not be included on the April commercial release. They will unveil the new music at two special events in the Minneapolis area, the first being an intimate acoustic show just announced at the Surly Brewing Company in Minneapolis onThursday, April 2, 2015 at 7:00 PM.
