When we first saw the new video from Benton Blount we liked it enough to share with all of you. Within a few days, you obviously liked it as much as we did based on the many views it had gotten. On that note, we reached out to Benton Blount for a brief interview about the song, and his thoughts about the video gaining so much traction in such a short period of time.
Our initial post sharing he video with all of you was on January 8, 2014. This was the day we first came across the video as well as the day Benton first published it on YouTube. The views were minimal at that time, and quickly grew from there.
Just days later on January 13, 2014 we published our interview with Benton, and noted the fact that the video was closing in 40,000 views.
Today, we are excited to see that the video has kept on gaining traction and has recently passed 100,000 views!
We’d like to congratulate Benton on his success with this video, and thank all of you for continuing to share our posts, and the video as well!

Celebrating over two decades of performing together, THE MAVERICKS will embark on the 25 LIVE TOUR February 27 with the same fervor and euphoria they have been known for. The GRAMMY Award-winning group, who the Village Voice proclaimed, “in a word or three, the Mavericks are cool as sh*t,” scored a slot on The Boston Globe’s Top 10 Concerts of 2013.
In spite of an indefinite divergence in 2004, The Mavericks musical connection never fizzled and last February, Cuban-American front man Raul Malo and vivacious musicians Paul Deakin, Robert Reynolds, Eddie Perez and Jerry Dale McFadden reconnected to release a new album IN TIME (The Valory Music Co.). The band’s return has sparked critical-acclaim for both their new music and exhilarating live shows.
