In December 2012, MinnesotaCountry.com published an article about Minnesota native Zach Sobiech who suffers from an incurable cancer called Osteosarcoma. We also shared his very popular video in the article as well.
Today we received a very nice e-mail from a ninth grade school teacher in Japan who came across our article and shared with his students.
The e-mail came in exactly as follows:
“Dear person who concerned,
This is not a schoop, but if you are interested, check the video. 120 of Japanese 9th Grade students who are graduating this Friday have studied about Zach Sobiech and his song, also Osteosarcoma using the article in MinnesotaCountry.com. They were really moved and tried to do something for Zach Sobiech. They decided to try to sing his song. Their English or singing is not good enough, but they tried hard.
Check this out and if it will be worth, make it news.
Sincerely,
Tatsuya Imanishi – Japanese English teacher. Teaching 9th grade students in Japan”
We found this to be quite amazing that a story we whipped up in December reached these students in Japan! To see the original article we wrote, and for more information on Zach, click HERE.
Below are two videos. The first one is from these students in Japan, and below is the original from Zach. Enjoy, we sure did!
Very touching story to say the least, but for a MinnesotaCountry.com article to reach Japan is amazing as well!
