Along with lineup announcement comes more camping in 2016!  Be sure to check out all of the details below!

In addition to the Oct. 5 announcement that Brad Paisley will be heading to Winsted, MN next June, Winstock Country Music Festival organizers have also expanded camping offerings at the annual country music event.

“We’ve sold out of camping the last few years, so with the added sites this year, we’ll be able to accommodate more of our fans,” said Winstock Country Music Festival Chairman Dave Danielson. New Campgrounds F/G will be added on land west of Cable Avenue, across from the existing Campground C. This change is due to Winstock losing its lease on the Campground E land when the City of Winsted purchased it for future development. Campground E guests received letters last spring explaining the change and how to renew campsites in other campgrounds.

Another addition to Winstock’s camping offerings will be sites for larger recreational vehicles. Sites that measure 30’x40’ instead of the traditional 25’x35’ will be available at a cost of $165 instead of $110. Patrons need to call (320) 485-4287 for availability.

The Lineup:

Along with Paisley, Lee Brice, Thomas Rhett, Big & Rich with Cowboy Troy, Tyler Farr, Parmalee, A Thousand Horses, and Clare Dunn will hit the Winstock stage next June 10-11.

“Brad Paisley has been on our list for a number of years to have perform at Winstock,” Danielson said. The 21 number-one hits Paisley will bring to the Winstock stage for the first time, plus his 14 Country Music Association awards (including a win as Entertainer of the Year) and the 14 Academy of Country Music awards, provide evidence that he has figured out how to connect in a big way with both the public and the country music business.

“Simply put, he’s one of the best,” Danielson said.

Rising star Lee Brice will close out the show Friday night. Known as a prolific songwriter of modern country music, Brice is quickly rising through the ranks to become a full-fledged headline act, as well.  “I had success as a writer before I had success as an artist,” said Brice, “so there’s a misconception that I was a songwriter first and then started to sing my own songs later. But all along, I’ve really always been writing for myself. When I started writing songs at ten years old, it was because I wanted to sing them, and when I came to Nashville, I came to be a songwriter and a singer. It’s all one thing to me.”

His breakout was the 2007 Garth Brooks hit “More Than a Memory,” which caused his stock to soar in Nashville. Since then, fans have heard him on notable hits like “I Drive Your Truck,” “Hard to Love,” “A Woman Like You,” and “Love Like Crazy.”

Thomas Rhett will perform prior to Paisley at Winstock Saturday, June 11. Rhett, like Brice, has had success both in the spotlight and in the background as another of the top songwriters of today. Citing past Winstock headliner Luke Bryan as an influence in his unpredictable musicality, Thomas Rhett is striving to reach that point where fans aren’t surprised by anything he does.

Big & Rich with Cowboy Troy have been confirmed to perform prior to Rhett, making for a powerful one-two-three punch Saturday at Winstock.  “Those three artists are going to make for a very memorable afternoon of music and performance,” Danielson said. “It’s really one not to miss.”

Rounding out the national artist lineup Saturday is “Carolina” hit makers Parmalee and rising star Clare Dunn. Friday night fills in with Tyler Farr and A Thousand Horses.

Artists for Winstock’s emerging artist stage, plus additional regional and local talent will be announced in the months to come.
