This is one smokin’ couple. Country artist Jessie James Decker and her husband Eric Decker, wide receiver for the New York Jets, said “I do” in June 2013. To capture their special day, they documented every moment and it aired as a reality TV show on E! called Eric & Jessie: Game On.
They’re back for a second season, but this time there’s an additional star. The Deckers welcomed daughter Vivianne Rose into the world on March 18, 2014.
Friday morning the Deckers appeared on Fox 9 news and talked about their reality show, life with a baby and what will come next. “It totally turns your world upside down after you have a baby,” Eric told Fox 9. Jessie added that the baby “smells so good.” (I have to imagine she can’t smell good all the time.)
Eric also talked about the strong connection he feels when he looks at Vivianne Rose and Jessie added with a laugh, “When we lock eyes and she’s feeding from my boob, it’s even better.”
It’s only been a month since Jessie was in the hospital, but today she released her new EP “Coming Home,” which is the #1 album on the iTunes charts right now. It’s also the first time she has released an album under the name Jessie James Decker.
With Eric’s move from the Denver Broncos to the New York Jets, the couple will soon call the east coast home, but Eric’s roots are in Minnesota. He was born in Cold Spring and attended college at the University of Minnesota where he played football and baseball.
In the Fox 9 interview he showed his true Minnesota colors when he mentioned missing summer days at the lake. He re-tweeted Fox 9 this morning with the hashtag, “#MinnesotaLove.” We love the home state pride, Eric!
