Chris Stapleton isn’t a new name in the country music world, you’ve heard his hit songs on the radio for years; they just weren’t being sung by him. Luke Bryan’s emotional “Drink A Beer”, George Strait’s “Love’s Gonna Make It Alright”, even Thomas Rhett’s current hit “Crash and Burn” were all written by Chris Stapleton. Even though he’s been writing hit songs for years, it wasn’t until May of this year that Chris released an album of his own. The much anticipated, Traveller, has been garnering praise and applause from the country music world and is nominated for a CMA Award for Album of the Year! So, in preparation for the CMA Awards airing on November 4th, here are a few fun facts about the CMA New Artist of the Year Nominee.
