Earlier today we received a e mail from our friends with Lost Highway. Changes are ahead for the band, and you can see the exact e mail we received below.
From Lost Highway (06-13-13) –
As many of you know, Bronson Bergeson, our brother and lead guitarist/ pedal steel player recently had to step down to address some health issues.
First and foremost, we wish him the absolute best in getting his health concerns sorted out. While he will be greatly missed, during his indefinite hiatus from performing, the show must go on.
The personalities and talents of each individual musician, as well as the chemistry that happens when we’re on stage, are an integral part of what makes a Lost Highway show unique. We say that to stress that finding the right person to fill Bronson’s position is not a task we will take lightly. A band with great chemistry becomes a brotherhood and we will be on the hunt for the right new family member in the weeks to come.
In the meantime, for the next few weeks as we head to Owatonna, Cambridge, Moondance, and Country Fest, we will be welcoming two very special guests to the lineup. Harry Smith, lead player with Clay Walker, Restless Heart, and Terri Clark, for 10+ years and producer, will be coming up from Nashville. Heath Wright, lead singer of Ricochet (hit song “Daddy’s Money”) , will also be making the trek north from Nashville to get us through this transition period.
We have yet to decide how we will proceed with the audition process but rest assured we will be posting an update with that information very soon. If you or someone you know thinks they could be a great fit for the Lost Highway family feel free to contact us via Facebook and we will respond to you in a timely manner with more info about upcoming auditions.
Bands are funny entities in that they do evolve and change personnel. We promise you that in finding a replacement we will not sacrifice the quality and reputation of Lost Highway and the live show.
Thanks for your support of Bronson! Show him your love and send him good vibes. Thanks for your continued belief and support of Lost Highway!
Jesse, Matt, Jake, Buck, Aaron, Nate, Billy, James, and our families at home would like to thank you for your support and understanding during this transition.
Love y’all!
