Sunday, day number eleven.  Just as you think things are winding down, you’ve still got two more great days to keep it country at the Minnesota State Fair!

fairericpaslayEric Paslay

Eric Paslay is a country artist, who was born in Texas and raised on country, rock and Texas honky tonk. He grew up listening to Johnny Cash, Rodney Crowell, Eric Clapton, Brooks & Dunn and Tom Petty. Paslay’s steady diet of music began at an early age and influenced who he is as a songwriter. He’s toured the country opening for Little Big Town, The Eli Young Band, Jake Owen and others.  Check out the brand new video for his hit single “Friday Night” here.  You can catch Eric at the Leinie Lodge Bandshell Sun., Sept. 1 – Mon., Sept. 2 play shows both days at 10:30 a.m., 11:45 a.m.  You WILL want to check him out if you’re at the fair!

fairgatlinbrothersLarry Gatlin and The Gatlin Brothers

Over 50 years ago, Larry, Steve, and Rudy Gatlin started singing in their hometown of Abilene, Texas, and went on to make music history. They have been pillars of country music since the 1970s with hits such as “Broken Lady” and “All the Gold in California.” Over the course of a four-decade career that has taken the Gatlin Brothers from dusty Texas stages to White House performances, from Broadway to Grammy Awards to the top of the country charts, there has been one unifying element – music. There’s no harmony quite as pure as family harmony. You can catch the guys at the Leine Bandshell Tonight stage at 8:30 p.m.on both Sunday, Sept. 1 and Monday Sept. 2.

Greene and Hurst will hit the stage at the Gardens Building on the corner of Dan Patch and Underwood 6-11 p.m. nightly Aug. 29-Sept. 2. Greene and Hurst is a new kind of country, a fun kind of country.  The band mixes in today’s hits, some classics, a few classic rock songs and even originals.  Wanting to do nothing but have a good time with the crowd, G&H makes sure to leave everything they have on stage to make sure the fans leave happy and wanting more. As always, there will be great food and ice cold beer being served at Chicago Dogs, Ragin’ Cajun, and Tejas Express.

Don’t forget to visit your favorite country radio station booths at the fair, and be sure to send us photos of yourself supporting country music at the Minnesota State Fair!
