This morning (Feb. 4), the announcement was made that seven more bands have been added to the schedule for the Winstock Country Music Festival June 10-11 in Winsted. With the announcement, the artist lineup for the 23rd annual festival is now complete.
Dylan Scott, Lindsay Ell, The Last Bandoleros, Maiden Dixie, Mitch Gordon and the Unleaded Band, Roadhouse 6, and 2 Mile Final will all appear at Winstock ’16, joining previously announced Brad Paisley, Lee Brice, Thomas Rhett, Big & Rich with Cowboy Troy, Tyler Farr, Parmalee, A Thousand Horses, and Clare Dunn.
“These new artists to the lineup are a good mix of tried-and-true local favorites and a couple of the hottest acts emerging from Nashville,” said Winstock Country Music Festival Committee Chairman Dave Danielson. “We’re also thrilled to bring the music of The Last Bandoleros to our fans – they’re in for a treat.”
Dylan Scott is an old soul with a young spirit, a dreamer who imagined himself following his father’s path to Nashville, a man’s man with a lifelong love for hunting and country music, and a heartthrob whose wide smile and deep-voiced Louisiana drawl have already turned many a woman’s head. Even in the tide of hopeful young singers rising daily in Music City, Dylan Scott stands out.
Starting on piano at six, guitar at eight, and singing in her church youth group at 10 (“the most forgiving audience ever”), 24-year-old Calgary native Lindsay Ell was discovered at age 13 by BTO and The Guess Who’s Randy Bachman (“American Woman,” “Takin’ Care Of Business”).
And then, there is The Last Bandoleros. Ever since the members of the San Antonio-forged, Tex-Mex/Pop-Rock outfit can remember, they’ve been surrounded by dynamic and diverse musical influences. The Last Bandoleros combine their unique cultural experiences with a rare musical camaraderie to deliver exuberance and joy both essential and contagious. And, in today’s fast-moving world of instantaneous information and converging influences, their original yet universal sound might just be best labeled “great music.”
Rounding out the Winstock ’16 lineup are local favorites Maiden Dixie, Mitch Gordon and the Unleaded Band, Roadhouse 6, and 2 Mile Final. For a complete schedule, click HERE.
